Kilbury - At about 12 km. from Nainital at a height of (2528 MT) lies a place fit for weekend picnics. It is famous for its flora and fauna and bird watching. One can have a wide panoramic view of Himalayas along with a view of Tarai and Bhabhar. There is only one building in whole of Kilbury: a government maintained forest rest house where government officials can stay after getting valid permission from authorities.
Kilbury is an enchanting, picture-book picnic spot. Lined by lush oak, pine and rhododendron forests and with panoramic views of majestic snow-capped peaks in the distance, Kilbury is perfect to spend the day on your back doing nothing but lazily watching the clouds float by.

Cheena Peak - The Cheena Peak also known as Naini Peak or China Peak is situated at a short 1 hour trekking distance from Pangot and not approachable by motored roads. It is set at a height of 2615 mts above sea level making it the highest point of Nainital place.
Since the climb can be tiring ensure that you carry water and some snacks to eat while hiking uphill. You can also hire a pony or horse if you think you might not be able to go the distance. It is also prohibited to litter the place so make sure that after eating you do not throw the leftovers here but in a dustbin provided by the tourism department of the region.

Shiv Mandir - An old shiv mandir is located halfway in the trekking route to churaini. The distance is about 1 km trekking distance from Janardan Resort. The trekking can be done by foot or we can provide you with a horse.
A fresh water stream flows by the mandir and a cave is situated near this stream.

Rainbasera - A medivial building used by ancient travellers as a place to stop, rest and hunt. It has 8 rooms which can fit atmost one person. The entrance to the rooms were covered by boulders, which had the same purpose as doors. We can provide horses and hiker guides to help you reach this place.
There is a small bridge by the Rainbasera and a water stream flows under it. This water stream used to attract wild animals which were then hunt down by the ancient travellers living in the Rannbasera.

Vinayak - The view from Vinayak of the mighty himalayas with a panoramic view will make you awestruck. It is something that is not experienced truly when seen in just photos. This can be justified only by visiting the place which is at 7Km distance from Janardan Resort.

Hanuman Temple at Bagar - Bagar is a village located at 3km from Janardan Resort. The village is approachable from motoroable roads. An old Hanuman temple is located at Bagar which is a must visit location for tourists. Terrace farming is practiced a lot at Bagar.
As Bagar is located in a valley, you can get a view of the himalayas all around. We can provide you with a rented car to help you reach Bagar.

Churaini - Churaini is a small village located at trekking distance of 3km from Janardan Resort. Churaini is not accesible by motored roads and can only be reached by trekking or horses. A narrow dusty non-metalled road below the Janardan resort leads to this place as well to Shiv-mandir . Walking down on this tract is a whole new experience in itself, as it is mostly rocky and rarely leveled and almost covered by fallen dried oak leaves.
The tract is relatively comfortable as you walk uphill and downhill into the pine rich forest, chirping of birds is more intense as if they are welcoming you in their territory.

Guggukhan - Guggukhan is a quite place habitated by about two dozen families who carry out terrace farming in the slopes of the region. The place has a goverment primary school and a proposed new road to Ramnagar also passes from here. The valley offers a scenic panaromic view of the farmed slopes of the hillside.
The place is approachable from motored roads. We can provide cars for rent to Guggukhan and experienced tour guides.
